Your condominium will be supplied with beach towels. It will not however be stocked with beach equipment. Too often items break or go missing and it is not feasible to track and replace the items. Sullivan Properties, Inc firmly believes in recycling & lowering the carbon footprint we leave on this planet! If items are purchased or acquired by guests and are still in good condition, we are happy to leave them in the unit for others to enjoy. If they are extremely dirty or broken, we must toss them out. There are places nearby that rent beach amenities – your property might also have an onsite rental shack. Most of the rental places nearby offer daily or weekly rates. Please note, we are not endorsing these companies simply providing the more popular options in the area : Snorkel Bobs in the Kahana Gateway Center, Boss Frogs in the Napili Plaza and Boss Frogs in Kahana Manor. Maui on the Fly for baby equipment rentals – this includes baby beach toys and other beach necessities for children. For more details and information check them out on the web!

Plenty of fine dining and family-friendly restaurants are within a mile of Kahana Sunset. If you prefer a stay-at-home meal, BBQ right on onsite or enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities right at your fingertips. For convenience, there is a Napili Market, a grocery store that is about ¼ mile away. Also located at the Napili Plaza are retail shops and a few eateries including Mama’s Ribs &Rotisserie, A’a Roots, and Joey’s. Kitchen 5315 and the Gazebo restaurant are located at the Napili Shores resort. Just on the opposite side of Napili Bay enjoy the Seahouse restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a great Happy Hour with both food and drink specials!

Kapalua’s beauty can be enjoyed through hikes, restaurants and gorgeous beaches. The hiking trails at Kapalua range from easy to extremely difficult! Enjoy the ease of the Kapalua Coastal Trail, the Village Trails or the very difficult Mahana Ridge Trail. Kapalua is home to some of Maui’s best restaurants

  The ocean breeze, the beautiful flowers, the lanai on the front of the property,. . . we loved being in Maui again. However, the condo that we rented had some problems. First of all, it was not very well stocked - hardly any kitchen supplie(not even salt and pepper)- and we were notified the night before we left that we needed to bring bathroom shampoo/conditioner and things like extra toilet paper. While we were there, our toilet needed to be fixed in one bathroom, the screen door blew off in another bedroom, and water leaked from the air conditioner in the living room. This caused a problem with our TV because the water leaked on the TV, down the wall, & onto the carpet. For each of these instances, maintenance did come over and try to fix it. They were successful with the first two, but not the TV. The unit number was D9. We would NOT rent this unit again. We will look at renting a one bedroom unit the next time we come to Maui, if we are traveling by ourselves. But please pay attention to unit D9 so this does not happen to anyone else.

  I was happy with the property, but disappointed in the condo.
  There was no oven which we somehow missed in the original listing. I would not of booked it, the beds were very worn and the mattresses were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The carpeting needs to be replaced along with the drapes. Overall the upstairs bedrooms need updating and a refresh. The pillows were also in bad shape. For the cost we spent I was disappointed in that.

  We love staying at Kahana Sunset! It’s a perfect place for our family— beach access, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc. The pool is also right there. Perfect place for ALL of us, from the babies to the adults. The grounds are beautiful, and the groundskeepers are so friendly and nice.

  This rental did not disappoint! The location is about 15 minutes out of Lahaina - good views, nice little beach, and great snorkel area with lots of sea turtles! The property is somewhat outdated and does not have an oven, but appreciated the multiple bathrooms for a group of 6 staying. Note that the kitchen does not have some typical items like mixing bowls, but you can make it work! Loved using the deck and check-in/check out was very simple.

  Perfect location and easy no contact check in and check out process. The place was clean in general but there were bugs which the welcome binder told us to expect and the bedding / livingroom set definitely showing their age. Also the construction finishes had room for improvement. Biggest issue was the carpet tack strip would stab you both at the livingroom / kitchen transition and on the steps.

  We only had one issue. The bedroom with the Queen and twin bed in it either has bed bugs or dust mites. My daughter had to use a cortisone cream the entire time, even after washing the bedding several times. Everything else was wonderful.
