To the north of the Mahana resort is a great selection of restaurants in the Honokowai area; a few favorites are Pizza Paradiso, Java Jazz, The Fish Market Maui, and a longtime local favorite Okazuya Deli which you must try during your Maui vacation. Are you a coffee lover? Bad Ass Coffee store serves up a delicious cup of Joe and also has some great souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Just next door is a Farmer's Market where you can find local produce, freshly made smoothies and homemade goods. Local produce vendors set up an outdoor market every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for residents and visitors to enjoy. Times Super Market is situated across the lower road from the Mahana Resort is where you can load up on groceries to fill your condo refrigerator to enjoy the convenience of cooking in your vacation rental. One of the perks of vacation rentals is having a full kitchen, so you don’t have to eat out for every meal.

Your condominium will be supplied with beach towels. It will not however be stocked with beach equipment. Too often items break or go missing and it is not feasible to track and replace the items. Sullivan Properties, Inc firmly believes in recycling & lowering the carbon footprint we leave on this planet! If items are purchased or acquired by guests and are still in good condition, we are happy to leave them in the unit for others to enjoy. If they are extremely dirty or broken, we must toss them out. There are places nearby that rent beach amenities – your property might also have an onsite rental shack. Most of the rental places nearby offer daily or weekly rates. Please note, we are not endorsing these companies simply providing the more popular options in the area : Snorkel Bobs in the Kahana Gateway Center, Boss Frogs in the Napili Plaza and Boss Frogs in Kahana Manor.   #1 rental we have ever stayed in. The view!!! Enjoyed our morning coffee and evening sunset cocktails from the lanai. We could watch turtles body surf right in front of the unit. Nice to stay in a quieter part of Kaanapali but be within walking distance of restaurants and food trucks. Will definitely return again and stay at Mahana with Sullivan Properties.

  I love the Mahana. It is right on the beach. Has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous ocean. Get to see turtles, whales ( winter) all the catamarans. The pool is fantastic, also steps from beach. The lounge chairs in the grass are great. Perfect location to walk to market & restaurants. Also bus that goes to Whaler’s Village, Cannery, Maalea Harbor

  A beautiful condo right on the beach. Floor to ceiling windows for watching the whales, dolphins,turtles. Everything was in the condo that was needed. It was well maintained and if an issue Sullivan is very responsive in handling it. I will be returning in July.

  We’ve stayed at the Mahana 4 times, this apartment was the least updated, least clean, & least favorite to have stayed in. There are some areas that were updated- bath and kitchen, but if you’re looking to sleep well or feel taken care of, this apartment nor the service of Sullivan properties suffices. We actually stayed in a different apartment for the first 3 days but had to vacate because of scheduling. We were so well cared for by the previous company “My perfect Stays” who went above and beyond and were so kind. They treated us as upscale guests and never made us feel there was anything we couldn’t ask for. Including keeping our luggage during the check out/ check in to this apartment #306. A very distinct difference with Sullivan properties, who said no to every request that we had- which was very little. The amenities were also poor in comparison to other apartments in the mahana. Not only did we have to ask 4 times for a chair and umbrella (which Sullivan will tell you they do not provide because not wanting to be sued?) when asked if they could help us with our luggage they just said “No, we re sorry.” What property management says no? Also, the bed is awful, Like a motel bed with 3 different layers of padding to cover up how old and dilapidated this mattress is. The management does not understand or want to know what nice accommodations are, they should never rent this place as it is. The ceiling is falling apart, the chairs stained and dirty, the towels were cheap and had hairs on them- we spent our entire first day - which was my birthday- doing 3 loads of laundry. Sadly, the integrity and service just isn’t here. It makes sense why they only manage 1 apartment in the mahana. Even the bar soap they provide was paper thin, thankfully we brought the great ones we were given by “my perfect stays” this property management seems of low bar and does not understand hospitality.   You can’t get a better location than this! Close proximity to many bars, restaurants, and beaches. The views from the floor to ceiling living room window and balcony are amazing! We saw so many whales every day! The condo is clean, comfortable and well kept. The beach isn’t that great for swimming or snorkeling but you’re so close to other beaches/bays, it doesn’t matter. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

  This property is in a gorgeous location. It directly faces the ocean. We would watch the whales, sea turtles and dolphins every morning over coffee in the lanai. It was very functional, well appointed and had a beautiful kitchen. It needs some updating however. The bathroom needs a makeover and the carpet that extends throughout has a terrible odour. There were very sharp objects at the tile/carpet unions. Overall it was a good value.

  My husband and I tend to stay on 4-5* accommodations. We had planned our NYE Hawaii trip a bit late in October and while we're used to high end prices for high end hotels, we were pretty astonished at some of the pricing for what we considered to be mediocre hotel brands for that week, despite the last minute planning. We found an almost "too good to be true" price for our NYE week (of course price is subjective) with this condo on and decided to go for it instead of spending a week researching hotels and alternative airbnb accommodations. I kept expectations low but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised.
  
  The condo is directly in front of the ocean - for such a view you will pay at least $2k+ p/wk during a holiday week at any other hotel brand. There is a king size bedroom, spacious living + dining area, and renovated kitchen with all the cooking essentials and renovated bathroom vanity area. I was a little disappointed in the shower as it's quite old, but after a day I got used to it and the water pressure was perfect. The wifi was reliable, which was helpful since I did have work Zoom calls each morning. Having a washer/dryer was also fantastic during a week long stay, and I particularly liked washing my own towels during covid, as well as being able to return home with clean clothes. The apartment was also completely silent day and night, which I absolutely loved - either the ocean drains out noise or there is solid insulation. The area is within walking distance to a supermarket and the other prime hotels, as well as our fav restaurant for the week - Dukes of Malibu! We didn't use the pool but families seem to enjoy it daily, and I wish I'd have know there was a tennis court so we could have packed rackets - it was always empty. The condo bldg itself was well maintained with a pleasant concierge and fire tikis stationed outside for a warm tropical welcome.

  Our family really enjoy the stay. Initially we have some concerns over the construction noise on the other tower as we are light sleepers and sensitive to noise. But it turns out it is quiet inside and outside of our room and we barely hear any noise.
  Great location: next to a beach park with beach walk to Kaanapali Beach and Whaler's village for shopping and dinning. Our family love jogging on the beach walk each morning and walking after dinner

  We rented Mahana Kaanapali thru Sullivan Properties initially for May 2020 but needless to say it had to be deferred due to Covid. They were so accommodating to allow us to apply our credits beyond the normal 12 month period, so we went first week of Dec. Great view of the ocean, plenty of room and had all amenities you need for a rental. The only thing I would say to improve in this unit is to replace the bed as it was not that comfortable. Aside from that it was great value for the price we paid.

  My wife and I stayed in this unit for 6 nights. The unit is very close to the ocean so if you do not like to hear the water do not pick this unit. The water pressure in the shower is great also and the ac keeps the unit nice and cool if you are here when you might need ac. We didn't use it very much this trip. The trades kept everything pleasant. It is the perfect size for 1 couple maybe 1 child also. The facility is very nice with a nice pool and the bbq work great also . We would stay here again

  Beautiful place to stay. Great view from the room, and we were able to see lots of whales. The lanai is wonderful, and the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room area gave us beautiful views. Comfortable king-size bed, and our kids slept great on the sofa bed. The kitchen came stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils we could need. We were even impressed to find items in the kitchen we needed like a meat thermometer. The room is super spacious and open, and was very comfortable, and very clean. The Mahana's pool is heated and the jacuzzi was open and very spacious. The beach right out in front of the resort is rocky, but we just walked down a few minutes to North Kaanapali Beach, which is beautiful, had great snorkeling and even boogie boarding at higher tides. Short walk to the Food Truck area, as well as Times Market across the street. We also enjoyed a 15 min. walk to Honokowai beach park & playground. Sullivan Properties was great to work with. Highly recommend all around.
