Captain Jack's Restaurant on property serves breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a great Happy Hour! Dollies Pub and Café and Miso Phat are just across the street and also offer tasty cuisine. For convenience, there are two stores nearby with easy grab-and-go deli items and anything you might need without having to go to a larger busy grocery store.

Your condominium will be supplied with beach towels. It will not however be stocked with beach equipment. Too often items break or go missing and it is not feasible to track and replace the items. Sullivan Properties, Inc firmly believes in recycling & lowering the carbon footprint we leave on this planet! If items are purchased or acquired by guests and are still in good condition, we are happy to leave them in the unit for others to enjoy. If they are extremely dirty or broken, we must toss them out. There are places nearby that rent beach amenities – your property might also have an onsite rental shack. Most of the rental places nearby offer daily or weekly rates.   Even though aspects of this unit are 'dated' the view is what really counts and that was spectacular.
  Shout out to Patrick Sullivan for recovering my swim cover-up from a roof top (very high winds transported this fabric a a 'trip' of it's own). Also Sullivan Properties repair folks were quick to fix a broken shade on the lanai.
  The views were amazing. We saw whales, turtles and a seal. Due to the weather though this trip didn't offer our usual gorgeous sunsets.
  We'll definitely be back...love Maui

  We visit Maui every fall using Sullivan Properties and this years stay was by far our favorite! Spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath with an AC Unit which was a must have for the husbands. The condo was beautifully decorated and the view was Amazing! We watched sea turtles all day from our balcony.
  Having the restaurant right there was really convenient on days we wanted late night snacks or we were too tired to go out or cook on long beach days.

  Always feel like I am home when I return to 272 on Maui. Beautiful, spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath condo on-the-beach in Maui. Well appointed modern kitchen, large dining room table and counter seating with spacious living room with 2ed sofa a fold out for additional sleepers. TV’s in living room and 2ed bedroom which has 2 queen sized beds. This trip’s surprise was lots of new stuff in kitchen including a new 3 level dishwasher. My favorite is the clear glass wall in 2ed bathroom shower to check out the beach scene while getting ready. Easy access to 7th floor via elevator from parking garage. Beautiful air conditioned space including perfect water view out door lanai. The place is a step above exceptional! We all had a great time cooking, visiting and playing on the beach, in the pools, hot tub or sitting in Capt. Jack’s restaurant. Grills outside on grounds by pool and beach very convenient. Always a good vacation well spent here!

  This visit the restaurant is now Captain Jacks which was previously located on Front Street in downtown Lahaina near the Banyon tree and was always very busy there.
  
  The food is Amazing and the service was fantastic! We enjoyed 4 breakfasts and 3 dinners there.
  
  Unit 272 has wide open views of the ocean from both inside the unit and of course the balcony deck.
  
  Management through Sullivan properties are great to work with and we appreciate everything they do from booking to checkout.
  
  I would definitely recommend Sands of Kahana and Sullivan properties to everyone wanting a great location in West Maui.

Being able to hear the waves at night from the back bedroom was nice. The large deck allowed everyone to share the outdoor space at the same time especially when the whales were out!

  We traveled with our parents to Hawaii and loved our stay here. We spent most of our time on the deck watching people and turtles. The condo was very clean and comfortable. There are no extra kitchen items so make sure to bring coffee for that first morning.

  We have stayed in 272 over a dozen times & were happy to be there again. We appreciate the remodel in 2017 but a few minor improvements would go a long way. Cleaners need to be more thorough. Area behind night stands in mbr has much dirt and stains on the wall. Very few cooking utensils, ie spatulas, large spoons,etc. Serious rusting on base of lanai chairs (they were not part of 2017 renovation). AC in 2nd bdr had minimal cold air. Master bath drawers are in disrepair. Lastly, roll-up shades on lanai are inoperable. Overall great condo, will definitely stay there again. The new living room furniture is a great touch. Most important, Evette @ Sullivan Prop was outstanding to work with and has best customer service skills we have ever seen. The only disappointing issue was SOK staff at check-in never advised us the restaurant and bar would be closed 2 days into our 10 day stay.

  This is our third visit to the Sands of Kahana. We stayed at another Sullivan Property the last two times. This is now our favorite unit. The view is amazing. The furniture is comfortable and clean. The bath tub was a great added feature. And having air conditioning was wonderful plus. My family of 5 loved it and will definitely be back.

  Sands of Kahana is a great place to stay in West Maui. Great Location near everything. We have stayed there both as a couple and with our entire extended family. This unit is on the 7th floor on building 2 which is closest to the ocean/beach. Great ocean views from every window. Updated furniture/decor and it has AC. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Check in is very easy and management are fantastic to work with.

  What you see, is what you get and this is no lie.I have picture of this property that are identical to the one on the website. The location is simply incredible, directly on the beach. Very well kept and clean Bar-B-Qs are available to all guests which is a great idea and a restaurant. The property is clean and well-maintained with a magnitude of plants and flowers. Customer service was also very good. Had a minor plumbing problem(kitchen sink) fixed next day. As mentioned to property owners, our condo could use little refreshing but nothing major.
  Was there for more of a relaxing vacation than an active one, we visited and dined out, swam in the ocean and took it easy on the beach.
  I would go back anytime. I highly recommend it.

  Hello, Thank you for reading our story. My wife and I got married on Maui 17 years ago. It was our 1st time and we stayed at the Sheraton on Black Rock. Then we stayed at the Allie the next time. Super expensive there, but it is nice . Then we were looking around and we stopped by Sands of Kahana. They told us that it was a time share resort, but a gentleman by the name of Pat Sullivan owns a few that he rents out. His office is right down the street. So of course we drove over there. I walked in and he says ya have a seat and it just so happened that unit 272 and a couple others were open that day. He gave us the keys and said take your time no hurry I am here all day. I couldn't believe it, He just hands me 4 keys like everything is cool and right on. When we walked into 272 we knew this was our spot. It has been our spot ever since. Which we have been to Maui about 18 times. Just like this last trip no disappointments . I cannot say enough about Pat and his grown kids that also work there and the entire staff. Stephanie is awesome and so is Steve. I know most of them I always stop and chat with Pat for a few minutes. Unit 272 has amazing views that never stop. The unit is clean and he replaced the mattresses in the guest bedroom. Very comfortable and there is no issues with water pressure when it comes to the shower. It is always very clean and tidy when we arrive. You will see housekeeping staff . They do not even enter any of Pats units. He has his own people that come in and clean. Please keep that in mind if you need anything do not contact anyone there, just give the office a call and Stephanie will take care of you. I hope that you get lucky enough to stay there. There is a great restaurant across the street called Dollies. I left a menu for you in the kitchen drawer to the left of the sink. They make everything in house.   We love staying at Sands of Kahana. Unit 272 is one of the nicest units we’ve stayed in. Love the corner unit with full ocean view and 2 lanais.
  There is air conditioning also which makes it very comfortable although it does not work well in the guest bedroom but there are fans than can be used.
  We had an issue with some water leakage from the hot water heater. Called Sullivan, left the place for the day and all was fixed when we came back from
  a day of snorkeling.

  Had a great condo with a/c well equipped with all the necessary items a family needs including 2 coffee makers.Ocean view from lanai was spectacular.Enough kitchen equipment to satisfy anyone.Towels were easily washed as needed with washer and dryer in unit.Furnture was adequate as were beds.A/C had a bit of trouble getting to 2nd bedroom but there were fans to help that need.Sheets in 2nd bedroom need replacing.Otherwise everything was GREAT and enjoyed byall.Would love to return sometime in future.

  Beautiful 2 bed /2 bath condo corner unit. Beautifully decorated ,amazing lanai and view spectacular! We stayed there 5 years ago & still very well maintained. Could use more kitchen appliances & ware. We did have an incident with bathroom toilet clogging & on a Sat afternoon Sullivan properties got someone there w/in 30 min.
  Air conditioning worked well except for in the second bedroom (fan was provided). Restuarant on property was good at there twice. Beach however, had really eroded since last time we visited 5 yrs ago. It apparently was due to hurricane in 2018. Kapalua Bay beach also had eroded... a bit sad to see. We enjoyed our stay in this Unit.

  Great location, fantastic views and a wonderful experience! The Sands of Kahana was very well kept, with clean facilities, a great restaurant onsite, close to everything we wanted/needed. The check-in process was less than ideal, as the property management company did not tell the resort we would be checking in; after several calls and 15-20 minutes we were headed to our room. The room was fantastic, it had everything we needed and then some. Overall condition was 4 stars. Since this unit was not managed by Sands of Kahana, they would not/could not provide extra towels or anything needed. We had to call Sullivan Properties directly. It took two phone calls and two days to get enough pool towels for our family of five.
  
  During our stay, we had several rains, which took out the elevator in our unit 3-4 different times. Not an issue with Sullivan, but why can't someone figure out how to keep the elevator running when it rains?? The underground garage flooded twice, with above ankle deep water walking to/from the rental car. Other than the ****** elevator, the property was 5 stars.
